A friend gave me a bag of 12 gauge wads today.They are Lage Uniwads a two piece wad.My question is how do you assemble these when you are reloading.

Man I haven't seen one of those in at least 25 years and maybe more. Doubt you'll find any loading data in a modern manual for them. Maybe in one from 20-30 years ago.
As best as I recall them they were a more or less clear plastic cup and there was a colored insert. You just stick it inside the cup and load. Like any more conventional wad the wad pressure compresses that insert just as it would the cushioning section of other wads. At least I think that's what I remember. But like I said I've not even seen one in a long long time.

Thanks for reply.Thats what I thought but that don't leave much room for shot.I guess the shot is mostly in hull and not wad.One guy said the small wad(red) may go under the big(clear) for the cushion.That would be a real pain loading.

If you put the small wad inside the bigger one that makes the wad length real short about 1 1/8" long.Thats a lot shorter than the winchester wads I have.Looks like the wad,powder and shot would not fill hull.Hodgdon still has one load for this wad.
