Little British style mortar
« on: March 15, 2013, 11:00:14 AM »
I made this pattern about 30 years ago, I was going to get a price from my local bronze foundry in St Paul

, the core is golf ball size, and it should support a 2.5 inch bore.

I was going to bore one for the available plastic ball shells available from fireworks companies.

look here: www.cannonfuse.com

I do not intend to offer castings for sale

I think it would depend on what the cost is, also if you are going to offer these in any quanity you should become a sponser.....
Mr president I do not cling to either my gun or my Bible.... my gun is holstered on my side so I may carry my Bible and quote from it!

Depending on the size of the lathe available, reverse two jaws of a 4 jaw and grab the trunnions by the ends on the first step of the jaws the other jaws grab the barrel.  I just may go to a surplus tool company here and pick up a 2" plus rill and radius grind the end for a nice bore and radius over the powder chamber.
