Someone is very lucky here, lucky that they didn't shoot someone, or weren't on the receiving end. I know of an incident simular to this that took place near Mayhill, N,M, about 35 years ago. Four hunters were walking an area between to large hills, two on each side about 75-100 yards apart. They were attempting to walk up a deer that had been shot and was hiding in the thick brush. The deer got up and started to run, both parties seen it and started shooting. Needless to say the deer was between them, and they were shooting in each others direction. A couple of them were hit and had to be flown out for medical care. I don't know how bad they were injuried, or if anyone died from this. This is the reason I am very choosy about who I hunt with, and try to avoid a situation like this where I may get shot or shoot someone else.
