3200 & 300rum

Unless my mind gets changed here I will go with the Bush 3200 5x15x50 for my 300rum. This will be a gun that I will not use a great deal unless I go out west or maybe some local hog hunting. Don't really want to spend a great amount on a scope due to the nature of it's use, however I want something that will be very reliable. Don't think I will find a better deal than 269.00 from optic zone and this is about the range I would like to stay in for my once-in-a-while gun.
Will the 3200 hold up to the 300rum and for the ones that have them, how do you like. Looked thru one today and was very clear to my eyes and the eye relief ain't bad either. How's this scope in the light department and
is this scope worthy for the uses that I have stated.

Some years back John Barsness had a good article on scope durability in Rifle Magazine.  He spoke highly of the Bushnell 3200 & 4200 as well at Weaver Grand Slams, Burris Fullfields, Nikon Monarchs as well as Leupolds, Swaravski and other "high end" models.  

But he also cautioned about putting heavy scopes on hard-recoiling rifles.  5-15X50 is a heavy scope; and, depending on the weight, a .300 Rem Ultra Mag can be a hard recoiling rifle.  Although it's not in the same league as .338 and larger.  

I'd be inclined to put a smaller scope on a .30 caliber magnum, especially if the intent is hogs and big game.  But your choice will probably hold up OK.  If not, Bushnell has pretty good customer service on their newer scopes.

I don't own any 3200 scopes, but I have a Legend which is sharper and clearer than my Bushnell Banners.  I would expect the 3200 to be sharper still.

Waitin on "Brown" to roll up the hill with my 5x15x50 3200 from OZ. From the time I ordered it and before it got here my 300rum bdl tranformed into a Sendero 300rum. Ain't life GREAT!!!!

By the way, this was my first dealing with the OZ, but will  not be my last. Great bunch up there.  DM
