If you consider that most of what the Trim Mate does is only done once per case the price can seem a bit high.
It also does things that you are going to do to each shell every time you load.
It it a powered case trimmer and chamfer tool that will clean and lube the inside of case necks, clean the primer pockets and deburr the outside case neck.
You are the only one who can judge whether it is something you want or need. I don't own one and I perform all those steps by hand each time I load. It might save some time but I like to relax and load a few (hundred) rounds just to have some time to myself. I don't need to do it faster. What you need or want is up to you. RCBS is a good name brand and the tool is for those who have the need to produce a lot of ammo. It is also for those reloaders who like to have all the power gagets to make it easier to produce quality ammo. So if you want or need it you can't get hurt by having it and it comes with the manufacturer's one year warranty and the RCBS two year repair or replacement warranty.
