Hokes Bluff Alabama
« on: December 10, 2004, 04:46:16 AM »
Finally traced the family way back to the early 1700s. Name is Tidmore.  My grandpa was born in Hokes Bluff Alabama in 1890. I live in western OK and I'm the only Tidmore in the area-wide phone book. Records show lots of us lived in the Gadsden Al. area.  Anyone know any Tidmores out there?  Any feed-back at all would be greatly appreciated. It's lonely out here.  BTW my grandpa was Henry Albert Tidmore
Please write me off of GB outdoors, I do not want to be a part of it any more.

Deactivated as requested.

Broken Arrow, if your family is from the Gadsden, Al. area, then they probably are related to the Tidmores from Tidmores Bend. This is a bend in the Coosa river at Gadsden where the Tidmore family has lived for a long time. I think there are still many Tidmores living there.
Hope you find your family,
Ray

I used to work with a Tim Tidmore in the Memphis area about 25 years ago..
