Handloads for .454 Casull/SRH 7.5"
« on: July 31, 2006, 03:36:30 PM »
I am new to reloading, but already addicted.  Having a hard time getting a handload that performs better than the factory rounds I've been firing out of my Ruger SRH .454 Casull/7.5".  Anyone care to share a pet load that they've had good success with in a similiar firearm?  Any input is greatly appreciated.  Thanks!

Best,
Randy

I use H110 powder under a  308gr cast bullet with a gas check.

I use 300 gr XTP Mag 30.5 gr H110 to dupicate the factory round(Hornady)! This for $.25 a round verses there almost $1 per round. This is just as accurate too!  Want a real fun load try 240gr XTP Mag with 35gr H110 for about 1900 Fps!
Start a grain lower and work up these are safe in my 454 not yours! 8)
