454?

 Is the handi available in 454?  What about 45 colt and rechambering to 454?  iIs 445 SuperMag available?

No on the .454 or .445SM, but a .44mag can be reamed to .445SM, a bunch here have done it and are real happy with it. There are a few threads on the .454, but I don't recollect anyone actually doing it, that and the fact that the .454 develops considerably more pressure than the .45 which might be disastrous on an SB1 shotgun frame.

Yes & with the 45-70 you can get more performance with less pressure anyway!

I understand that, but 45-70 case length is too long.  The application has a max case length of 1.625 inches and a min dia. of .357.  I'm just exploring oppurtunities without a full blown wildcat.

BTW, a .45 chamber is larger in diameter than the .454 Casull, so it couldn't be rechambered.
