No.4 MkII Irish contract....
« on: September 16, 2006, 07:12:48 AM »
Hope I did alright....
Today at the gunshow I found an Irish contract serial number No.4 MkII.

not FTR'd....

No.4 MkII (F)
11/54 PF328522

All numbers stamped match including mag...
#1 bolthead...
Wood about 90% (couple gouges here and there)....smooth upper handguard...
Original finish about 90%...
Micrometer sight....
BORE EXCELLENT!
Came with a light beige type Enfield sling....

He wanted $350....I gave him $300 otd...
Probably too much, but I don't see non FTR'd all number matching Enfields very often...
I'm happy....  ;D

I got one of those about 10 years ago.  It was in arsenal wrapper.  It is a good shooter and lot of fun at the range.  I got mine for about $250 out the door.

It won't disappoint you.  Bed it up right and they can shoot VERY well.  Mine is pulling regular sub 2 MOA with cast bullets in 10 groups at 100m.

I bedded mine with epoxy around the action but NOT against the butt socket wall behind the trigger and pressure pointed the barrel top and bottom as the barrel band and top only at the muzzle.

Works a treat.

cheers
