Eabco barrels
« on: August 01, 2006, 03:33:30 PM »
Just got a 50 cal ML Pro Hunter and am new to the Encore world.  Am interested in adding a 7mm08 and am trying to decide between a standard 24 inch barrel or a medium bull barrel I see offered by EABCO.  I like a bull barrel but am concerned about the 12 week order time and the upcoming deer season.  Any feedback about the actual wait and quality of barrel from EABCO  is appreciated as well as any advice about a choice between a standard taper and a bull barrel.  The search function is down so please excuse this query if it has been discussed before. thanks in advance

EABCO does good work.  I ordered a 30-06 Ackley Improved in a heavy contour and had them add their OPS muzzle break.  Of course the barrel comes from the TC Custom Shop and then they added the muzzle break.  It took a lieetle over two months to get mine.  Extemely accurate - love it!  Customer service was great too.

You could bump up to a 308 and order an in stock accuracy barrels, but from what I saw at their website it looks like they are only available in the standard contour.

Good luck!
