Bobwhite 20 bore
« on: October 21, 2006, 03:03:39 AM »
Was out yesterday and bagged out in 10 minutes. 2 different pheasents with 2 different shots. 1st was at 15 yds the other at 25yds, both where shot through the "cylinder" choked barrel with Remington, "game load," low brass, 7/8 oz, 2.5 dram, #6's at 1225fps.
This gun loves these "balanced" loads.

Have 2 Bobwhites, 28 & 20 and really like them.  I've been shooting ducks over decoys with the 20.  I use bismuth no. 5s and it kills cleanly out to 35 yds.  That's the range I established before I started hunting with it from the patterning boards.  With Kent Matrix it extends the range to 40-45 yds.  Have been shooting a lot of greenwings the last few days.
