Browning Yukon Bow
« on: August 13, 2006, 04:53:34 AM »
My wife insisted that I have a new hobby now that we moved to town, so a Browning Yukon bow that was at a yard sale, came home with us. I am an avid hunter, but have never bow hunted before, and know very little about it. Can you all answer some questions for me? First I am told, the draw is set at 30". I read a little about what length I need and it works out to 27 1/2".   How is the draw lenght changed? Do I just shorten the bow string? The sticker on the bow is!
      STRING LENGHT
  32    35   38
   PRE SET
 28"----35lbs
 30"----50lbs
 32"----50lbs
Adjustable Range
25-28 in-----30-50lbs
27-30 in-----45-70lbs
29-32 in----45-70lbs

I have done some archery shooting, but it amounted to shooting a recurve bow indoors over a winter. I will also need an arrow rest, arrows, and a release. Can you help me out with advice? PS I am on a budget.   Thank you in advance.
