I have an Encore barrel in 375 H&H Magnum.  The gun is fairly light so the recoil is, shall be say, noticible.  The stock configuration/weight also makes it ESSENTIAL to keep your face back if you don't want a bloody forehead.  I also have a CZ 550 Safari Magnum in 458 Lott.  When shooting from the bench, I use a Lead Sled with my Encore; my CZ 550 Safari Magnum is comfortable shooting from the bench without a Lead Sled or other special protection and no danger of getting a scope ding.  I think the differences are a different stock configuration, a much better recoil pad and more weight in the CZ 550.

That said, I have no plans to divest myself of the 375 H&H Magnum barrel.  It's isn't too bad shooting off hand or off of shooting sticks.  If you get one, get a scope (I have a Leupold) and bases (NOT Leupold quick release bases) with good eye relief that will stand up to the recoil.

Paparock I have one in the 26" barrel and the standard synthetic stock. The gun shoots really good as far as recoil it is definately there.  As long as you keep the gun tight to your shoulder and face back on the stock not to close to the scope  the gun is really not bad at all to shoot even from the bench.  I recently purchased the flex tech stock but haven't had a chance to shoot the 375 with that stock . Go out and get one i think you will love it I know i do. :)

I bought a Pro Hunter stock about a month ago and it will probably stay coupled to my 7 mag barrel.
I used to shoot the 7 mag on my composit stock but got flinchy after 6-8 shots, it was better with the walnut and now with the Pro hunter it is a liitle more recoil than my 243 on the composit. Last range session I shot about 30 rounds of 3 different size bullits to see what the barrel liked and came away wanting to shoot more. It made a difference on the 7 mag and should help you as well.
