Did anyone seeTred Barta on the OLN the other night kill a couple hogs with his knife?  I gotta give it to him he has a lot of spine to do that, although the dogs kept the hogs pretty occupied.  I'd love to try that but I'm saving $ for a Hawaian vacation next year.
Will hunt for food.

I would have to see much better definition pictures before I believed that one.

I grew up on a hog farm and we had some breeding stock that would go 650 to 700 lbs so i can see one in the wild going over 1000 if left alone . Sure would not want it to come after me , gun or not ,  :o

Thanks for posting the picture, Bernie. That is a whale of a hog if I ever seen one. Reminds me of a big Boar we used to have about 25 -30 years ago. Can't remember what he weighed for sure, but I think it was in the high 800 lb range. Never turned my back on that one, that is for sure. He ended up getting to big and mean, started tearing everything up, so we sold him. The one in your pic looks to be bigger, and I don't doubt the weight a bit. Do you know what he weighed, dressed out?

busta dont no much more than what i have put down .the way he has his toyota landcruser set up iis like a pro shooters setup, the pilbra is where all the ironore is mined in west oz the mines hire pro shooters to keep the pigs and goats down, the pilbbra region is known for its biger than average pigs .that pig in the pic looks to have a lot of a breed cald durack the are allways a red coulor and are very big a friend who breeds duracks said that  when they are left to go ferel they get realy big some of his go 900lbs to 1000lbs they are a very big breed. you can see in the pic that that trucks rear suspnsion is realy compresed down with the pig the guy in the pic is six one in height and arond 230lbs,i would say that pig is close to 8 foot long and standing on all fours would come past your waist,i am with you stimpylu32  i would not like to face him not at my age getting to old and slow.if he got hold of you you would  end up dead for sure he would be very powerfull.
