Ruger, "Blu-Magnum" Walnut Grips.....????????????
« on: April 18, 2003, 05:59:44 PM »
I just finished reading a great article by John Taffin in the 2003 American Handgunner Annual about the last 50 years of Ruger Single Action Handguns and he wrote about "Blu-Magnum" Walnut Grips being available on the 10 1/2" New Model Super Black Hawks during the 1980's. These grips filled in behind the Dragoon triger guard and look to be slightly oversized to cover the New Model grip frame. Taffin claims they helped tame the .44 Magnum during Silhoutte competition.

Does anyone know where I may purchase a set of these grips or know where they can be reproduced? Thanks - J.Solo
