No change...same design...the ones you referenced in those catalog photos are in the fully extended position ready to use.
In my blisterpac photo, they are collapsed (shorter as a result) and you can just barely see the end of the internal short starter peeking out.
When you load a patched ball or conical in the bottom end, you have to pull it down off the end of the short starter, put the patched ball inside it, then slide it back on the end of the short starter (it detents in place) ...and it can't slide all the way back up because the patched ball stops at the end of the short starter...making it look like the catalog photos
When you use one and punch the ball out of the end, you then see the end of the short starter barely sticking out of the bottom, like in my blisterpacs.
They make the 'magnum' size in all 3...45/.50/54...all mine are the magnum size...not because I use 150grns powder, but with the bigger powder resevoirs when I hold one in one hand and flip the top open with my thumb, my 100grn charge is far enough down below the top that none of it can spill put from the sudden movement. (The .58's were discontinued before the magnum charges became popular)
