a friend gave me a couple of 50 pound bars of what i think is pure lead. i like to cast from straight wheelweights and water drench, what do i mix with this lead to approximate wheelweights, and will i gain anything from water drenching this mix?

Linotype, Bullet enrichment metal [sold by GAR]or any number of type metals will enrich it. If you don't shoot muzzleloader or Black Powder Cartridge the easiest thing to do would be to trade it for ww metal as these folks allways want pure lead to shoot as is or for a 30-1 tin lead mix. H2O dropping will not harden pure lead. Gianni.
