Yes, you'll need a forend spacer from H&R, Brownell's or Numrich. You might want to consider the steel spacer and trigger quard to go with a nice stock.

I have a bunch of Muellers, they're great scopes for the money and a bit more, and their CS is second to none. I have 2 TacIIs, an Eraticator, 2 Sport Dots and a Multi-shot. Their new APV is highly regarded at RFC, several are using them on high powered calibers too, not just rimfires.

I was thinking of putting a silver eradicator on my stainless 22-250.  Not sure how a nice semi-fancy walnut stock would look on a stainless, Ill love it or hate it.   I can allways put it on annother gun or better yet buy a new one for it.

I polished the steel spacer and trigger guard to put on my ss .30-06, something to consider, it's not a perfect match, but closer than the plastic parts. Mueller also offers the new APV in silver and it's on sale now for $100.

Here's Mac's Gunstocks inc stock..

Heres a few shots of my .223 Ultra Varmint(blued) if it helps to see what Gunstocks Inc wood turns out like.  I personally think a dark wood with the stainless would provide a nice sharp contrast.

I called Gunstocks inc. and ordered it today, a varmint forearm and a monte carlo stock in semi fancy.  I might do a little work to the stock to make it look like a left handed version of the raised cheek model.   I think I saw a thread one time where Fred worked on his laminated stock like that.  I was thinking it was a monte carlo style and turned out nice.  Also ordered a steel forearm cap and trigger guard. Best part is I think Ill come in under my wifes budget.  Now I have to wait till it gets here.

How long does it take to get a stock from Gunstocks inc ?  Just wondering because they said they would e-mail me the tracking number.  I didn't know if they have stock, or they make them after you order it.
