Pardner pump choke
« on: August 20, 2006, 09:16:09 AM »
I just bought a new NEF Pardner pump 12ga.  Shot it a few times yesterday and couldn't hit squat.  Even though it says they come new with a modified choke, I tried patterning it, and it is extremely tight for a modified choke.  Anyone noticed their patterns being tight?  I have always shot winchesters in the past and this just seems tight.  I love the feel of the gun, but it doesn't matter if I can't hit anything.  Anyone else noticed this?

I haven't patterned my gun, but I've done pretty good with the trap that I've been shooting.  I haven't noticed any difference between the 870 that I used to borrow and the Pardner Pump that I now own.  BTW, the 870 used a Mod choke also.

If you want a different choke they take mossberg/ browning invector chokes.
