Dumb question of the day.
« on: September 21, 2006, 08:02:00 AM »
What does the screw right behiind the trigger on the back of the trigger guard do?  I have never adjusted it and have no idea of what it's there for.

It's a dumb question, but I'd like to know.

Overtravel adjustment..........I like mine adjusted in to where the trigger just breaks. Makes for a much cleaner trigger pull to not have a bunch of slop after the trigger breaks.

Not a dumb question either. There is another screw on the top side that adjusts take up.....eliminates all the frontside slack. If you decide to adjust just make sure the gun opens, closes and operates correctly before trying to shoot it. Over adjustment can keep the gun from closing, cocking or shooting

Where is the top screw located?
I've looked on both my Encores and can't see it!

Do you have to remove the stock to adjust it?

Thanks;
