What's a "set" trigger?

What's a double set? what's a single set? What good are "double triggers"??

"Double set triggers" are designed so that the first trigger "sets" the 2nd with a very light pull force as in a target trigger.
A single "set trigger" does the same thing as a double, only with one trigger.  By pushing the trigger forward, it sets the trigger for light release.

a set trigger is one that sets down - a double set trigger is one that has a big butt and nees two chairs.  A single set of course is a braggert with a small butt and only needs one chair.

If a trigger has a heavey "pull" wouldn't that lead to a "jerk" ?
