Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Blued guns have aluminum ejector rod housing and grip frame.  Stainless guns are stainless steel on both.

My blued gun is all steel. But it sports a douglass barrel so I don't know what length it started out as. My old 7-1/2 was all steel.

As pointed out, the SBH has an aluminum alloy ejector rod housing and rear sight.  The gripframes have always been steel.  If your 4-5/8 had a "Navy" sized grip, it may have been alloy, my books don't mention it as a factory fitting.  All the Dragoon sized grips are steel, except the Old Model that came with optional Brass.  The original Flat-top came with aluminum gripframes.
