Rangefinders
« on: August 04, 2006, 03:56:46 AM »
Do any of you have any experience with the Leupold RX line of rangefinders? I am interested in the RXl or RXll models. Any info and/or comparisons with other rangefinders would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Don

I think that the RXIV has too many features for me that would be confusing. I will be using one only for bowhunting and do not think I need all the bells and whistles. Let us know how you like when you get it.
Thanks,

I have several rangefinders and I just wanted something with all the bells and whistles. I always like to try out the new stuff and the only why I am really going to find out is to try them. But I will let everyone know how it does.  ;D

redhawk is the resident gear tester he's probably tested out everything having to do with hunting and shooting ;D ;D he's got a disease that was named after him its called redhawkitis.
I know what you're thinking. "Did he fire six shots or only five?"
Well, to tell the truth I shoot a Springfield XD so it doesnt really matter.

TreyAzagthoth, I have learned long ago, the only why to find out if it will work for my needs or wants, I have to try them out myself. Sometimes I get lucky and a buddy has something new and I get to try it out without buying it, but most of the time I have to buy it myself.  Now don't get me wrong, I don't just buy everything to try, just the things I feel will meet my needs and wants.

I have found out that going cheap is not what I want to do when it comes to my hunting and shooting. A combination of good equipment, great hunting skills and a little luck makes for a great hunt and day in the woods.

I have taken it out a couple of times, and so far I like it. I am going to take it on a few hunts with my Bushnell Pro 1000 and see the difference. What did you not like about your's?

It was very slow compared to the Leica I think that why Leupold doesnt have a scan feature Leica clearer couldnt range building at 700 to 800 yards with the Leupold have no trouble with the Leica
