OT..Single ShotCenterfire Rifle...Optima?
« on: September 15, 2006, 05:15:23 PM »

It's not about Handi's...but...I was picking up a Marlin 1895XLR this afternoon...and while I was wating in the store for the paper work to be finished...I spied a in-line muzzle loader up on the rack...it was a Optima?...and it said you needed a 4473 form fiilled out on it...the reason is it will take shotgun barrels and centerfire rifle barrels...Anyone seen these new guns? I recall hearing about them a few months ago..but never seen them.

Yeap, I haven't seen them up close, but as Tim said have seen their AD on TV and in mags. Their pricing seems to be close to TC, and competitive...

The price for the 50 cal stainless in-line was $1.00 under 4 large...nothing on the extra barrels...I looked hard at the reciever...it locks up similar to the NEF...but the shelf is lower. The frame doesn't give the apperance of being casted either...I couldn't take it apart...but next time I'm there...I will ask if I can...and see if they have any of the extra barrels.I didn't have time this go around unfortunatly...I do know if folks here love the black choate varmint stock...they will really like the one on this one...Even I like it...and I'm real picky when it comes to synthetics...
