Encore Hammer Extension Suggestions
« on: August 27, 2006, 12:06:27 PM »
I am looking for a Hammer Extension for my T/C Encore 209 x 50 ML. I tried the RMC (Rightnour Mfg. Co.) model, but I can't get it tight enough to stay on. After a few hits it slides forward. What extension will stay on without any movement?

Hello

Does the old " drill a hole through the hammer" and tap it for an old style winchester  type extension work with Encores.  I know it does with Handi rifles.  Hammers usually either require spot annealing or a special drill/tap to get through the hard bits.

Cheers

I use the one from Mike Bellm (www.bellmtcs.com).  It has not moved yet and I have had no missfires even after lightening the trigger.

I just got one from Bellm Tc's, has three set screws, I haven't done any shooting since I put it on, but it doesn't look like it's gonna move any.
