7.62x54R ammo case with rusty tins!
« on: September 21, 2006, 03:28:26 AM »
When they brought the case up to the counter I thought, "Geezz that thing looks like it got wet for awhile." When I opened it at home I saw indeed it had water leak down into the case and water had sat on top of the tins. I also saw a definite pinhole in one of the rusty tins. The rounds although shootable need Flitz work on just about every one.

The other tin was still air tight and the ammo looked nice and bright.

Morale of the story when I buy again guess I'm going to only buy one tin at a time so I can see any questionable problems. I could have simple said I want a different case...Dooooohhhhhhh!

Price was right at $89.97 for 880 rnds of Albania 1984 production.

What weight bullet was the Mosin Nagant M91/30 designed for? [/i] This is my 1st Mosin Nagant.

Original round was slightly over 200 grains. (I have a box of them
in my collection). Then they swapped to one of approx 147 grains
