NO-MAR Camo Tape
« on: April 09, 2003, 12:35:58 PM »
I picked up a Mossberg 500 Bantam for my Grandson with ribbed field barrel and chokes.  I added a set of Williams firestorm clip-on sights and camo-taped the barrel and stock w/ NO-MAR Cloth Tape (2-rolls).  If I say so myself, it really came out quite well!  Time will tell how well the tape holds up, but for the cost of the two rolls 2" x 10'@$8.00 I am very happy.

Hello Savage T,
I couldn't really tell by the post if you have used the tape before. It holds up ok but will tend to peel up in well handled places and on the edges. Try to keep the gun out of direct sunlight or heat from the inside of a vehichle. This will heat the glue on the tape and make it goooey and harder to get the glue residue off. Rubbing alcohol will normally get off residue.
I use to take the time to do this every year but I had my gun painted with an air brush. Now I don't have to worry about oiling the finish. If it gets wet just wipe the outside off with a dry cloth.
I also use fully adjustable Williams Firesights, Love'em but the turkeys hate'em.
 Good Luck,
Stan
