shortening pull/replacement recoil pad

I'm looking to recduce the length of pull on my 0/u shotgun bu 1/2 " or so. There is nobody around that can cut the stock in short time and I'm still shooting it weekly. I don't really want to do it myself unless I have to. It currently has a factory recoil pad that is 7/8" thick. Can anyone suggest a thinner recoil pad ? I'm thinking if I can fid something made out of a more modern material but only 3/8-1/2" or so, it might be just enough.
BTW Existing pad is 5.25x1.875"x.875 and curved.

You can go with a KICK-EZZ pad 1/2", slightly warm pad to form to the curve of the stock and grind to fit, watch your heel and toe, this will shorten your L.O.P., AND ONLY TAKE UP YOUR TIME AT THE BENCH.
GOOD LUCK.
