Norton brand semi-auto pistols, what happened to them?
« on: September 26, 2006, 01:29:10 PM »
I was cruising a web site that has great color photos of guns for sale, overpriced in my opinion, but they had a photo of a small framed pistol of a "Norton" made gun.  My best friend is named Norton, we have been having a laugh with the photo.

It seems that these were made in the 1970's, I was active in shooting during the late 70's, bought all the gun magazines, but I never heard of this brand.  Were they any good, what happened to them, and does anyone have one?  At first I thought they may have been poorly made, but Detonics were around in the early-mid 80's and they went under.  Remember Bauer, and Sterling semi-autos?  Bauer, and Sterling only worked 50 % of the time from the factory from what I had heard, so they deserved to go out of business.

Thanks.
