Squirrel season is here

Has anyone had a chance to hit the woods yet in search of these great fox Tree rats ?

I'm planning to take the daughter out sat. if i can get someone to cover for me at work , from all the reports this season is going to be a good one with the numbers up state wide  from last year .

We have had a great influx of black squirrels coming east from In. over the last 3 or 4 years and they have been pushing the fox and reds out of the area , so i think this is about time to put the little buggers to rest , and no they don't taste like chicken .

I usually wait until after a good frost. I usually float a local river with good sucess

 The Encore 45/410  shot 2 greys and 1Fox  the other night..  The 2 greys had worbles though.  the neighbor boys had good luck last night, they shot 6 with there 10/22's .  Theres a scad of the bushy tailed cridders this year....

  Got some personal matters taken care of so i can get out of the house. Next weekend go down to the land (ross county) do some scouting sguirrel hunting and try to call a few kyote`s Thing is do you think the 45-70 is to much gun for squirrel`s Rich

nope the 15" 45colt /410 shot   barrel is a blast to hunt squacks and rabbits with !
