how much is this t/c worth?
« on: January 16, 2005, 02:34:51 PM »
One of my buddies has a t/c white mountain 50. cal carbine side lock ML. It is ready to hunt. He has a bottle of 777, 2 boxes of maxi-ball and every thing you need to hunt and clean it. This ML does not have a scratch on it. He bought it off his uncle for 60$ He has bought 60 dollars worth of stuff for it and he wants 120 dollars for it. Is it worth it? I have already shot it and it shoots great to.

Any reply on how good a gun it is and/or how much it is worth would be really appreciated.

The last decent one I saw at a gun show was priced at $240.I have one but a friend wants one so I offered the guy $200.Turned me down flat.
The more I listen,the more I hear....and vice versa.

Well I don't have to worry about weather or not to buy the gun. The buddy of mine that had the gun already has a in-line and had no use for it. So win I went to see him today he told me to take it home it was mine.      :o  :o  :o

Mind you this guy is around 50 and would do anything in the world for me.  But I never thought he would give me a gun     :o :o.

Well if that ain't a great thing.  I've been drooling over the exact same gun at the local shop.  I had a friend give me a gun once too, didn't know what to say.

If the barrel is in good shape, thats a steal. I still hunt with a T/C
New Englander side lock that is 10 yrs old, and it still shoots great.
I used to shoot those maxi-ball & maxi-hunter bullets, but over time
I switched to the powerbelts. They shoot even better and are much
easier to load. Enjoy.
