Anyone here load for the Swift? I just bought a Ruger #1-V, and am looking for some load suggestions.

Boomer,I have a .220 swift, and I real enjoy shooting it.I rechambered it t ackly improved. It gets the .40gr bullets down range mucho rapido..
I would suggest you get a sierra reloading manual and start there.I am sure there is a lota folks here with good data. But,a good reloading manual is really the place to safely start.
you might have to try several brands of bullets to see which one will shoot the best in your rifle.remember to get bullets that will withstand the velocitys that she will generate.some of the SX's will blow up leaving the barrel.
my huntin rifle is safe from confiscation only while my battle rifle protects it.

I load the 220 Swift but I have not found a load that shoots better than Factory Hornady 40gr ammo
