PR BULLET EXTEME ELITE 300GR IN TC HAWKEN 1:48... HAS ANYONE TRIED THESE ?

These Exteme Elites 300 grains conical boat tail bullets are one of Pr Bullets recomended loads for the TC Hawken .50cal with 1:48  barrel...I was wondering if anyone had tried these in this gun?

Cecil @ Pr Bullet reccomends them over 100gr Goex 3fff    ( Which I finally found !)

How are they used?
In a sabot?
In a patch?
Where are the grooves for lube?
How is leading prevented?

Looks like a solution in search of a problem to me...

I would think the above bullet is used out of a plastic sabot.I see no lube grooves fror lubing the bullet.I have some 300 grain 44 cal. keith HP boattails I have shot out of a 1 in 48 twist hawkens flinter with 85 grains of 3f goex these will cut each other holes at the 75 yd target: Precision sell them called th keith HP

Yep.. the Extreme Elite is a sabot/bullet.... not a conical.

If Cecil says the Hawkens shoots the 300 gr well, I believe him. He has helped alot of shooters find the right loads for their MLs.

If you want a nice conical from PR Bullet, get the Keith Nose. All PR conical/bullets come unlubed -- so that may change your mind about purchasing them. Some ML users just don't want the mess associated with lubing their own bullets. If that's the case, then try some REAL Bullets from Black Jack Hill. Just Google 'Black Jack Hill" and order some of his soft lead 320 gr. REAL conicals.

I know poster Lonewolf has ordered from Hill. He may help you a little more with that.

Thanks, the Keith nose was what I was looking for...didnt see any where on the exteme elite page where sabots were mentioned so I wanted to check.
