Chinese Springfield '03s

Chinese Springfield '03s, I saw one at a favorite gun haunt for $395 in very good to excellent condition and was thinking which child to sell..... (just kiddding ;) ) Any info on these? I surmise they are from the Japan/China- WW2 era.

a little confused. are they 1903's that where captured by the chinese during the 30's and then used by the chinese wit hmarkings to prove it? if so imagine they would a big demand for collectors, but have probably been rode very hard and put away wet, and doubtful as a shooter

This one i saw looked to be either rearsenaled or put away new in a time capsule of some sort.

Or, arer you talking about a Chinese made copy?

Something like the Kyber Pass Martini's.

If so, it might be an interesting collectable.  I don't think I'd try to shoot it though.
