FIRST POST!!!!
Anyone else like to see a fall blackpowder season?? It always seems I have too much to do around the Christmas Holidy to get ready for Muzzleloading the first of the year

State muzzle loader season this year is Dec 27 - Dec 30. I was thinking about the Dec 16 - Dec 17 dates they added to go out again with my muzzle loader, but then I use it or a pistol during the regular gun season.

But yes, I would love to have a muzzle loading season before the regular gun season because after the shooting starts they get a little spooked around this section of the state.

I would also like to see us be able to use a rifle in handgun cal. you can use a TC with a 14" barrel in .357 mag and max , 41 mag , 44 mag and 45Lc so why not a rifle with a 16" to say 24" .

We all know that the new inline MLs will shoot as well as a CF rifle , even Mississippi figgered that out .

I agree with Stimpy.  I've been saying the same thing for the last 5-6 years.  A rifle or carbine chambered in a straight walled cartridge such as what is allowed for pistols(357, 41,44,45, 45/70, etc...) would fill a niche between pistols and shotguns/muzzleloaders.  I asked the former Crawford county game warden about that same question, and he told me that while it made sence to him, the state claims it would increase range or some kind of jibberish about being more lethal.  Who knows?  But yes, I would like a fall blackpowder season as well.
