Which One

I have been reworking my 700 BDL .308 deer rifle.  I ordered a H_S Precision stock for it and I'm going to replace the scope.  It currently wears a Leupold 2X7 but I'm either going to replace it with a Leupold VX-1 4X12=40mm or a Bushnell 3200.  The Bushnells are really outstanding scopes, but I like the idea of buying an American made scope.  I'm not really interested in other brands.  Whatca think?

Leupold, but for deer hunting a Leupold VX-II 3-9x40mm would be a better choice in my opinion.

I own 2 of the VX-1 4x12x40's...and 1 VX-1 2x7....They are great scopes for the money...I traded a in a brand new VX--3 3x9 to get the 2 VX-1's...and am very pleased with the scopes. The friction rings don't move once they are set..and while they may not be as clear as the VX-3's are to a computer calibration machine...they look every bit as good to my eyes..My choice.....Go for the Leupold..

This rifle is for shooting as far as is necessary to get the deer, and for long range paper punching.  The VX-II  in 3X9 would be in my price range.

The 2 x 7 will give you all the point of aim need to take deer asa far as the .308 will shoot. For paper punching the more the better, but you have to keep the low end of a variable down to where you can use it for colse range fast shots if your going to hunt deer with it. As for brand I only buy Leupolds.
