opening day
« on: October 07, 2006, 01:48:12 PM »
well today was the moose opener up where i live by so i went up and bounced around trying to find some spots that werent already dotted with hunter orange.  found a couple of trails that had some fresh tracks but no moose still standing in them.  did manage to see 2 moose but they were already shot and going past me in trailers.  i can only hunt calves no adult tags.  did manage to get 2 grouse today and 2 yesterday so wasnt to bad of a weekend so far.  just need to find some swamp donkeys.

man where were you hunting?  was a bit of ice on the swamp water yesterday morning but no snow.  calling for it to go down to -6 C next weekend so that will make for a great hunt :)
