7/16" for the ramrod dia., and 8-32 for the jag. You would be better served by buying a range rod for your loading and cleaning and just use the supplied rod for field use.

when I am shooting at the range, or at the dead tree by our pond, I will ussually just leave the factory ramrod extended, and shoot with the rod not in the gun. I hav a heavy duty cleaning rod that I got from walmart that i use for swabbing between shots, and for cleaning at the end of the day.  There is a company in Canada that makes heavy duty replacement telescoping rods for the hunstman/sidekick for around 30 bucks. If I ever break my original, I will be getting one of them.  I also do not like 777 powder in my stainless sidekick. After one shot of 90 gr. and 240 or 300 grain saboted bullet, I cannot swab my barrel due to a horrific crud ring. So far I am using APP shockeys gold in ffg loose powder with great results. Only issue with the app so far is the granular size of the powder. It does not flow readily out of my flask or powder measure.
Can I use the ffg formula safely?
