Searching for thin Blackhawk grips
« on: April 21, 2003, 06:54:54 PM »
I just bought a Ruger New Model Blackhawk in 357 and I would like to find some thinner grips preferrably in black or ebony color in wood or resin. Any ideas? Thanks

most aftermarket grips are a little chunky to. If you want a nice feeling grip send your factory ones to SK grips http://home.att.net/~s.kolar/ he will thin them for a modest fee and refinish them to look alot better then new. He does excellent work and if you want to spend a little more serious money he makes beautiful custom grips too. I have two sets one in french walnut and one in buckeye burl that are beautiful. He also will fit the grips to your grip frame if you send it in with the grips. He refinished thinned and fitted a sent of stags to my .475 and did a wonderful job!

Check out “Gunfighter” Grips by Badger Custom Grips.  There're 33% thinner than standard grips.  --  Kernel

Eagle Grips also have a gunfighter grip that is considerably slimer as well.
