CVA Optima Elite- Has anyone shot one, yet?
« on: January 17, 2006, 02:21:55 AM »
Are these things out yet? I've seen them advertised, but haven't heard of anyone who has shot them. I think they come in .243, .270, and 30.06. Just wandering about the quality and accuracy of these guns. I might be interested in one. Any info would be appreciated.

Sorry, I did not see your post before posting mine.  I thought the rifles seemed quite nice overall.  The sights were Williams fiber optic sights but the barrels were also taped (4 screws) for a scope base.  The hold feels much like a Thompson Center because of the exaggerated pistol grip type stock.  Overall quality in my estimation seems to be on par with Thompsons.

The website shows .243, 7mm08, 308, 270, 30-06, black or camo stocks and black or stainless metals.  Prices vary, stainless in camo stock is most expensive.

First link to the Elite Combo in which is stated that standard Optima barrels are not interchangable with the Elite frame.

Second link to the Elite rifles only.

Third is to the extra barrel list.
