My 7445 Norwich gun has about .005 back/forth play. I only notice it because my 7360 has no endshalke at all. Dan Wesson has told me that this is not excessive, but I find it bothersome. They said that spacers are available to correct the problem. I wonder is this a fix that I might accomplish (I know how to follow instructions). I reckon the spacer is placed directly in front of the cylinder.
On another note, after shooting both the 357 mag and 44 mag, I notice much more of a 'slap in the face' from the 357 than the 44. Perhaps load pressures give rise to this. Recoil is sure no issue with these two heavyweights! I never noticed the cifference in concussion between the two typically because I must hike a good distance to practice, and I am loathe to carry both guns.
