USN Saves the M1 Garand/1933
« on: October 09, 2006, 07:24:22 AM »
Gentlemen,
NOTICE: THIS IS A RED LETTER FILE.
Here is the opening file giving us info on how Ordnance got funds from the USN to pay for every thing i.e., jig, fixtures, etc. at SA. The Navy was paying for the whole production line. If Ordnance could not get the funding from the USN the Garand Project 5 at SA would have died. I have other letters to this effect but this was the start. You could call it GARAND-USN GATE. Ordnance and SA where the only people that knew about this. I hope you find this data of interest.

Some of these posted before. Others are new data files.
Warning, before you go to my sites lower your volume as the opening page contains a sound file which has a loading and firing of the M1 Garand. So if you're at work or home it may be wise to check your volume control.

Gentlemen you know what to do. Not going great but some guys have bought Vol. 1 or Vol. 2 of the Garand Papers. TIA

Thanks again
