I don't know if these gentlemen are average in size, but when you look at their upper torso's versus the Bear's head, yea that is one
big Bear!!

Not to pour water on the parade but I'll bet the bear is 4-6' from the camera's lense and the men are double that. Anyhow great bear, great hunt I'm sure. I've certainly never taken anything even approaching that large - especially something that bites back!

By the size of that bear you would almost have to sit behind it or you wouldn't all fit in the camera's lense.  I wish I could shoot like that!
