From Byron Cook's information submitted to the Bradshaw surname file at the Adair Co., KY, Public Library, Genealogy Dept., 27 Aug 1989:
"William Bradshaw (was) the Gateway Immigrant Ancestor of our Bradshaw line. William Bradshaw shipped from London with the Kingswell Colonization expedition and arrived in Jamestown, VA, in 1633. The original.. mission of this group was to try another settlement in the Carolinas. In 1648, the Kingswell colony was granted 2300 acres of land on the York River, seven miles above the narrows. One of the "Headrights" was given to William Bradshaw. There is no prior history of William's family in England or any records of his birth, death or marriage."
Mr. Cook lists his sources as:

3. Virginia Historical Society magazine, Vol. 15, p. 298-99

*Note - errors have been found in Mrs. Bolin's book, the Battle-Perrin-Kniffin book is a collection of essays about families written by family members and surname files at the Adair Co., KY, Public Library are composed of information submitted by researchers not all of which is sourced*
The only thing I can add to the above is that William died after 1664 in Goochland Co., VA.
I welcome any corrections or additions to this information.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Butler Ford
