Nikon Omega Question?
« on: October 07, 2006, 04:59:09 AM »
For those of you who have used this scope.  I am thinking of ordering one, but am worried that the aiming circles may block a substanstial part of the sight picture.  It looks in the pics like the circles are stacked right in top of each other.  have you had any problems with this or am I looking for problems that don't exist?

I've been using the Omega on my T/C Omega .50 cal. for about two months. I don't have the problem you're worried about.  Just look right through them. The circles are hollow and the lines that make up the circumference are thin, so they don't cover up much of the target. Even though they're stacked fairly close to each other it was no problem for me. Can't blame a miss on a crowded reticle.

Nikon has a little movie on their site and it matches my limited experience so far. Choose the proper circle, look through it, press straight back and watch your target fall.

I have one on my Encore, I don't have any problems with the circles covering my sight picture. I find it very easy to find my target. I am busting clay targets at 200 yards with my set up. My friend liked my set up so well he is copying my set up. I am shooting 120 g. of loose triple 7 under a 250 gr. bonded shock wave. Awesome accuracy. I highly recommend the Nikon Omega scope.
