I bought the FlexTech stock - (black, no thumbhole) - and put it on the .405 winchester.
The shape alone makes a huge difference. It allows me to get right down on it and look through those iron sights without getting all beat up by the stock. And that big squishy recoil pad really takes the edge off.
With the wood stock I couldn't shoot off the bench at all. With the FlexTech I put 25 rounds down range before I had to give up.
I think it was worth the money. Now I'm off to find out how the Elk feel about the .405.
