Regarding rejects. Try sorting them according to type and degree of defect and shooting a few out of each lot. You'll probably find that at least half your rejects are perfect shooters. As you get used to the mold, your reject rate should drop to near nothing. I have cast 100 bullets and found that any one would go into an inch and a half group at 100 yards, using a 30-06. In other words just pick up 10, without any inspection, load and shoot them. I do watch as they fall from the mold and toss any very evident culls back in the pot, but no other inspection if I am air cooling. If water dropping, a casual inspection is mandatory after removing them from the water, and I do this as I'm sizing.
Now, if you are betting money or your life on the shot, better check your quality real close.
