I think if we leave Irak with our tails between our legs it will do nothing but encourage terrorism and those who support it. On the other hand there is a limit to how long we can stay there and try to prod those uncivilized camel jockies into getting along. Some things just may not be possible. It is clear to me that we should have wiped the slate clean to begin with in Iraq; that might still be the best option.

magooch,Your right we are stuck between a rock and a hard place tribal hatred is em breded in Iraq.When we pull out of Iraq and we will I think we will see a blood bath for control. Once we took Saddam out we should have gone home and let them kill each other.

I think in the eyes of the global community, we're damned either way. If we don't pull out we're the evil invader, and if we do pull out we abandoned a country when it needed us most. Either way we're still the great satan to a large part of the world, so we might as well stay and try to finish what we started.

If we are danged if we do and danged if we don't, why not pull out and save some of our own soldier's lives? Staying and getting more Americans killed, if the outcome will be the same if we left, makes no sense.

I think, that because of the way the Republicans have catered to illegal immigration, globalization and corp interest the democrats will likely regain the white house in 08 and could very possibly make huge gains in the house and senate.

Because of that, I voted we'ld cut and run....

But, looking at Vietnam, the dems were the ones that piled the men into that war.......

Maybe I should have vote "who knows"?

I shudder to think what might become of this country if the Dumbycrats do regain power, but I also wonder if some of the more thoughtful Democrats--there are a couple of them--wouldn't start to exert some pressure on the ridiculous leadership of that party and some of their silly notions would have to be modified if they would have any thoughts of keeping their power. It's easy to sit back and be critical of virtually everything when you are not responsible for the outcome; it's a whole nother story when you're where the buck stops.

As I said in another thread: If you're going to have a war, WIN IT. "They" don't play by rules. "They" fly planes into buildings, cut peoples heads off, don't take prisoners, and routinely torture innocents or combatants. All this bull---- about playing fair, the Geneva Convention blah blah blah it is all TOTAL GARBAGE. Afghanistan, Iraq, all of it........ENOUGH. Complaints over treatment at Gitmo? OK. QUIT TAKING PRISONERS. They dont' take prisoners. Why should we? They aren't gonna dime out Bin Laden, so WHY take them prisoner? Kill them like we killed all the Japanese on Iwo, Tarawa, Saipan, Guam, you name it..........they don't play by rules, then we should just get it done. Kill the badguys, THEN LEAVE. Problem is, we have two fronts.......and don't have the will power nor the manpower to finish either of them off......

Read the papers?! We are cutting half our B-52s and cutting the Air Force back to a size that is next to useless. There are no plans for more "boots", and we keep sandbagging the National Guard. We cannot fight a two ocean war. Korea and Iran are begging for a fight, and we have nothing to fight them with except nukes.

For Christ's sake, this whole thing stinks. We back Saddam against Iran then guess what? WE ARM THE IRANIANS, Saddam now hates us, and Ollie North is a hero. Russia attacks Afghanistan to clamp down on the Islam radicals, WE BACK THE RADICALS. 300 Russian school kids are murdered by Czechen rebels, but Clinton and Bush both hammered the Russians over using their military against the Czechen........who are nothing more than Islamic garbage. Now WE are fighting those same Czechens in Iraq!!!! Clinton shoots 40 million worth of cruise missiles to kill Bin Laden and Madeleine Imnotsobright warns Pakistan who saves Bin Laden. Bin Laden is hiding in Pakistan and EVERYONE KNOWS IT. Yet just this week we sold Pakistan 18 F16 FIGHTERS........go to www.military.com and read it for yourself. Every administration going as far back as I can remember defies logic.

In my perfect world (and I'm dreaming), alcohol fuel, biodiesel, a bunch of broke Arabs sitting on oil they can't peddle. Al Qaeda and Heroin dealers who fly planes into our buildings........any country that sponsored it or harbors the bad guys gets taken over and this time what ain't glowing IS NOT GIVEN BACK. Like Patton said, "I don't like paying for the same real estate twice."

Sorry for the rant. I want a third choice next election and I know I won't get it.

This is a War we cannot afford to lose..................... we have no CHOICE, but to stay the course and do what ever is required to win this conflict of cultures............. remember that it is not a conflict which we asked for nor wished for......... but rather one that has been forced upon us by those that wish to either wipe us from the face of the earth or to force us to live as 'sub-humans' with few rights or opportunities............. there is no option BUT to win....................

Since the three factions hate each other, and will not get along. Divide the country into three parts and move out. Shiites, in the south, Sunnis in the middle, and Kurds in the North. The Kurds have been looking for thrie own state for generations. Then after we are gone Turkey will move into the northern area. Iran will move into the southern portion. And Syria will take over the central protion. Then and only then will their be stability in the area.

I've stated many times that islam is a cancer, heres an example. We spent most of last week in Lou, buried my good friend, and brother in law Friday. They have 4 daughters. A couple of years ago one of them got mixed up with some of the Godless ones and converted to islam. She flew in from Michigan Wed, dressed in her devils garb. I was so angry that I completely avoided her. An hour later I saw her in the lounge, she was taking it pretty badly, and I saw the young girl I'd loved for 27 years. I sat her down and told her that I didn't always like her, now was one of those times, but I had always loved her and that there was nothing that cou;ld destroy that love as I gave her a big hug. I couldn't believe that she would disrespect her parents like that. I told her that I felt a real peace about her Dads death because I knew he was now ok and not suffering anymore. He accepted Jesus Christ into his heart as Lord and saviour many years ago, and that she needed to do the same. She said that she knew he was in Heaven too because her illegal pak muslim had read some kind of garbage to him just before his death. Her guys visa expired over 7 years ago. I talked to her for 3 days, to make matters worse another sister said she had converted too. She had been to church with us many times, including most of the spring and summer. I told them what mohamed was, they never heard such lies they said. These scum come here, find an American girl dumb enough to marry them, then they can stay. One knew nothing of the Amish killings, she's not allowed to see tv, watch news, nothing but the propaganda she is fed. I'm really burdened for my 2 neices. Rant over for now. Again I say, islam is a fast growing cancer, a boil on the butt of the ENTIRE world. POWDERMAN.

The idea that there is some sort of military solution to all this is, I think, misguided. The purpose of the military is to buy time for the political solution to be found. The only way the military can solve the problem is to engage in the sort of wholesale killing of noncombatants that would turn every nation in the world against us. We might win the battle but lose the war if we did that. Praying at the altar of simple solutions won't save us.

They are fighting amoungst themselves just as they have always done. But against us it is a war about religion to them. No matter how badly they are beaten they will never stop, just like in the Crusades. As long as any of them can take a breath they will fight to the death against us.
