I just got my 16.5 inch 300   win mag barrel from bullberry. I will be headed to the range after while and will report back with the results.

  Well I was a little worried about shooting the gun from what I have been told about recoil with  the 300 win in a pistol. I am here to report that the recoil is not near as bad as I was lead to believe. There is quite a bit of noise. I am happy to report 1.5 inch groups at 100 yards with a very strong wind blowing here in texas. Just in case anyone out there is wondering I do not have MT on this barrel.

Txlongshot,
If you have a chrono I would be interested to hear what bullet weight/MV you get out of your 300 Win.  I shoot a cartridge that is similar to yours but my barrel is a tad shorter.  Was this factory ammo or your reloads?  What kind of game do you plan to use this on?
Enjoy your new toy!
