Is this Unique load for 44 Mag "compressed" ?
« on: October 13, 2006, 05:12:52 AM »
I have been loading Accurate # 9 both scaled and the lee dipper. I just scaled a load per the books with Unique 10.7 gr. The loads for A#9 are about half full to just a little more. The Unique is 3/4s full. The book doesn't call this a compressed load, but it sure looks almost full to me. Any experience's would be helpfull.

Thanks

Mike

First off what weight and style bullet are you using , depending on the bullet you may be well over MAX with 10.7 grains .

Alliant shows that 10.7 is max for 225 JHP and is over max for the 240 grain bullets , this from their web site data .

Just make sure that you have the proper powder charge for the proper bullet .
